I do have this superb album that Damon Albarn made with a bunch of lovely people from Mali.

Really good booklet with some fantastic photos in with this cd.

Last night after work, I watched all my favourite bits on the Woodstock dvd. Its a film I have been watching for about 15 years, but have never watched the very end credits. After the role call of legends and heroes who have died etc etc there is a list of the beliefs that Woodstock was based on They are :

At the height of grunge in the early 90s, Neil Young went out and laid down this live album to prove(I think) that he could rock harder, faster and louder than all of the groups half his age.

This is a really under rated, almost forgotten , ignored masterpiece. Its up there with the best of rock albums.

A long time favourite of mine. I think the first two albums are essential. I saw them at Beautiful Days two years ago. They headlined the Sat night. I sat at the top of the field with my daughter and witnessed the sonic wall of sound that is Killing Joke.

They have lost nothing of the shere power and intensity of the music. Sitting there under the stars in the clear Devon night was amazing.

The late seventies was an amazing time to be getting into music. John Foxx is from just down the road from these hallowed towers where I reside. John Foxx was the leader of the band. If you see any Ultravox record, only buy it if its a John Foxx record.

If you think Vienna is Ultravox, then think again. This album will blow your mind, it did with me. I first heard it in Whitby in 1980, three years after it was recorded.

I havn't stopped listening to it since.
