Motorhead

This is Motorhead's first album. Its fucking brilliant. If you have not got it, you need it.

It will violate you and step on your human rights.

You will feel a hell of a lot better for it believe me.

Its nice to have it on red vinyl on Big Beat Records, before they got a major label distribution.

Eco-Wolf in your area

One of my daughter's books, Eco-Wolf is in your area, so don't spoil his valley vibes man and recycle yo stuff or he will jump out the shadows and GET YOU.

He will bite you on the arse if you don't respect his valley vibes.

Just like mankind has been bitten on its arse right now from YEARS of greed.

Read this book. It will change your perception of the world's fight against man's destruction of the planet.

Fact.

Punch your best friend in the face

Ok, so its been YEARS since Fluff presented the Radio 1 Rock Show, but I am kinda digging this show right now.

As the jingle says "Punch your best friend in the face"

Getting Into Something

Hard working man

I have really been lrocking out to the Faces this week. The 4cd set Five Men Walked Into A Bar is just pure rock and roll and the first 5 Rod Stewart solo albums are the embodyment of rock for me.

Good album

Believe it or not, I don't own even one Blur album, in fact I have never really heard much of them apart from the hits.

I do have this superb album that Damon Albarn made with a bunch of lovely people from Mali.

Really good booklet with some fantastic photos in with this cd.

Nearer Than Heaven

"Nearer Than Heaven"

You are nearer than heaven
I get the feeling I get nearer by the day
I've seen
The people go forever descending
It's when we're all inside
That summer's on the
Way

Bullet took it easy dollar lit the room
Monsters making the evening news
Packing up
A round trip, I get in the way

Now I know that
You are nearer than heaven
I get the
Feeling I get nearer by the day
I've seen the people go forever descending
It's when
We're all inside
That summer's on the way

We could talk forever,
Nothing would get
Done
Stake your claim on the morning sun
I get in the way

Now I see that
You are
Clearer than heaven
I get the feeling I get nearer by the day
I've seen the people go
Forever descending
It's when we're all inside
That summer's on the way
Yeah
Yeah.....

Friendly Fires

A band to watch out for at the mo. Booked on all the festivals this summer.

B-A-B-Y

This is a good album. Rachel Sweet was 15 when she recorded this Stiff classic.

I reckon if it was now, she would be a HUGE star. Some really good songs on here that are timeless and would defo be hits today.

At the local with DrFeelgood

An overlooked classic. Pure rock and roll energy. I love this album.

Foundations

Last night after work, I watched all my favourite bits on the Woodstock dvd. Its a film I have been watching for about 15 years, but have never watched the very end credits. After the role call of legends and heroes who have died etc etc there is a list of the beliefs that Woodstock was based on They are :

peace

music

ecology

liberty

community

democracy

alternatives

knowledge

altruism

How many modern festivals can say the stand for those values ?

Bearded Theory

Dance for charity. Rave it up in a field with a can of cider in your hand. We will be playing at this tiny festival in Derbyshire in May. All proceeds go towards helping Oxfam help those who can't help themselves.

The festival is sold out already. Small actions have great concequences.

Justin Miller

Playing some records in a basement in Manchester next week.

Live and electric. Miles in the later stages of his life playing a muted trumpet with a young, electric band.

Do You Love The Zep ?#2

Rough Kids

Rough kids play rough games and kick tin-cans
They walk in certain style
Rough kids shout rude names and write slogans
They leave thier feet out in the aisle

Rough kids have bother and make nusience
They cum on someone elses fence
Rough kids give m-m-m-m-mama no obedience
You know, you know they've got no sense

Come on now rough kids

Enough, enough
So rough, so tough
Rough kids
Rough kids
Rough kids, all right, all right, all right

Rough kids move in teams, don't play away
They go round knocking off some stuff
Rough kids let of steam and go astray
Enough, enough, to be so rough

Enough to be rough kids
Enough to be rough kids
Enough to be rough kids

Rough kids
Rough kids
Rough kids
Rough kids
Rough kids

Im gonna smash your face in

Good Monday Listening

Still sounds fresh today.

Oh Yes

1979 was a good year to be into The Stranglers.

Godstar

A work of absolute genius from Psychic TV. A dedication to Brian Jones. It is said that on the studio tape minutes after the recording, the studio engineer heard a voice, when he played it back, it is said to be the voice of Brian Jones.

I really believe these things can happen.

Good bathroom reading.

I like this tune from the late 70s. So does Norman Cook. He put it on his Late Night Tales mix.
